I guess I have a weakness for red lipsticks, it’s one of my favorite colours of lippy, red. I love the look of glamour it gives any outfit, it doesn’t matter if you’re dressed to the nines or ready for bed, I think red lipstick always finishes the look off.
So, I’ve created a list of my top five red lipsticks, which wasn’t easy I can tell you now. In the end, it all came down to colour, consistency and how long each one lasts.
No. One – Dior Addict – Lucky
In first place is shade #536 Lucky by Dior. It goes on very nicely, softens your lips and depending on how red you want your colour depends on how heavy you put it on. Get Lucky Dior for only $40
No. Two – Guerlain Kiss Kiss – Insolence De Rouge
Ah yes, Insolence De Rouge, the exact shade that one Miss Monroe wore in her hay day, a re-run of course, and one of the reasons it’s on the top of my list. Shade #522 is a rich red-orange shade and is very reminiscent of the Hollywood glamour days and all for a mere $19.99.
No. Three – Chanel – Rouge Allure Velvet
Of course, Chanel has to be somewhere on the list and in at number three is #37 Rouge Allure Velvet and it is exactly what the name reads: red, alluring and velvety. Get yours for just $45.
No. Four – MAC – Dangerous
Dangerous will definitely turn heads. A matte orangey red colour that will last on your lips the whole day and won’t dry them out either. There’s only one problem with this shade, it’s ALWAYS out of stock so you better jump in quick and get it for only $36.
No. Five – Lancome – L’absolu Rouge
In my opinion, Lancome is often over looked but always comes through with amazing shades in lipstick. This one hits the list at number five mainly because of its colour which I love. It’s not AS long lasting as the others but it is just as smooth and for only $35.50.
